STIMULUS CHECK
Ever since moving to New York, I’ve had the itch to put together another show. I’ve done quite a few studio visits with artists I’ve been following online for some time, and many of those people have become friends. It’s such an interesting experience to follow someone’s work online and then get to know them and see the work in person. The last show I curated, Midas Touch, was such a trip, and as much as I wish Stimulus Check could be IRL, this will do for now.
I am so overstimulated with content on a daily basis I wanted to take a step back, and step out of the virtual realities I follow, like, and exist in. In some ways quarantine has made me numb to these online worlds I live in so I’ve asked some of my favorite artists to share one video and one song along with their work.
